From Filmmaker to UX Designer:
My Journey of Storytelling Continues

Hello everyone, I'm Urja Upadhyaya, and today, I want to share a piece of my heart and journey with you.

In a previous life, I roamed the world of Film & Television Production, where every frame told a story, every shot held meaning, and every scene aimed to engage hearts and minds. It was a world where storytelling was my compass, and visuals were my vocabulary.

With a double master’s degree in Media Arts and English Literature, I learned the art of weaving language and visuals together to create immersive experiences. It was a journey that took me to places I had only dreamed of. My work on the documentary 'Fragments of Paradise' carried me to prestigious stages like the Venice Film Festival and DOC NYC. It was there that I discovered the incredible power of storytelling to connect, inspire, and evoke emotions across cultures and borders.

But life, as they say, is a beautiful journey of twists and turns. My path led me to a new adventure—UX Design. I realized that the principles of storytelling, the essence of creating meaningful connections, and the pursuit of excellence were values that transcended industries.

As a UX Designer based in the vibrant New York City, I now focus on designing intuitive interfaces that prioritize the user experience. I believe that technology should not only be functional but also beautiful. My goal is to craft digital experiences that make users feel like they're wearing a pair of magical, user-friendly, and stylish glasses. These glasses, metaphorically speaking, help users navigate the virtual world with ease and pleasure.

It's a journey of transformation, and I'm incredibly grateful for every step. Filmmaking taught me the art of storytelling, and now, I channel that knowledge into creating digital experiences that resonate and connect.

Thanks to everyone who has been a part of my journey. I'm excited to continue crafting stories—now, in the digital world, and I'm grateful for the experiences that have brought me here. Let's keep creating, connecting, and exploring together.
